November 2008: THE GERMAN LANGUAGE SCHOOL WESTWOOD RECEIVES AWARD FROM FOREIGN MINISTER OF GERMANY
The German Language School Westwood has been awarded the honor of beeing named a "Partner school". Select schools receive this designation. It is based on the schools ability to awaken young people's interest and enthusiasm for modern-day Germany and German Society as well as for academic excellence.

Visit of the German Consul General, New York City, to the school (November, 2007)
The German Consul General, New York City, Dr. Hans-Jürgen Heimsoeth, visited the German Language School Westwood on November 17, 2007.
The Record newspaper carried a report of the visit.
